Ngezi Platinum Football Club, originally founded as Ngezi Sporto in 2001, began its journey as a social team dedicated to promoting sports in the Ngezi area. The club first entered the competitive landscape by joining the ZIFA Mashonaland West Division 2B in 2004, marking the beginning of its rise through the ranks of Zimbabwean football. After several years of determination and development, Ngezi Platinum achieved promotion to the ZIFA Northern Region Division 1 in 2015, and then to the prestigious Premier Soccer League (PSL) in 2016. The club’s success continued to flourish as they captured the Chibuku Super Cup the same year, showcasing their emergence as a formidable force in Zimbabwean football. Their accolades reached new heights with the Premier League Championship in 2023, followed by a win in the Castle Challenge Cup in 2024.
